It's been seventeen years since Steven Quartz-Universe started a new era of peace for gem kind. Known as Era 3, this allowed gems to live their lives how they wanted. At the start, gems were educated on the new ways of life, and allowed to live how they wanted.
&nbsp;
But recently, an announcement has come out from the Diamonds. A black spinel by the name of Blacklight had been able to find a way for gems to reproduce, without destroying planets! These newly produced gems that grew inside a carrier gem were dubbed gemlings, and this discovery marked another change for gems all over the empire. Blacklight is now taking more gems into her experiential trials, allowing other gems to produce their own offspring.
&nbsp;
But with this new discovery, things are going to change. So very soon after the start of Era 3, no one can be sure of what will come. Will gems welcome Blacklight and her discovery? Or will they challenge yet another change to their lives, and try to stop it all?
