The name .Lab intentionally defines this interdisciplinary space. It is neither a cultural institution nor a scientific location, but both. It is constructed through research, experimentation, learning, practice, and observation. .Lab works in active partnerships with the community to create long-lasting bonds between artists, creators, and curious minds. It proposes a strong network of mutual support and informal learning. Thus, this space is inclusive and accessible to all. .Lab&rsquo;s experimentation and progressivity allow it to explore and drive artistic practices, placing art as the architect of a better world.
.Lab endorses values of global experimental exchange. It focuses on collaborative research, equality, transparency, and integrity. And at its core, .Lab creates opportunities for artists to explore and connects them to an innovative and creative community. In partnership with ArtAdvance, it primarily functions through external funding to produce, cultivate and maintain its diverse cultural projects. It becomes a space to create new concepts and projects, including open calls, residencies, interviews, and virtual exhibitions. However, .Lab also leaves open-mindedness for exploring new frontiers by fostering a space for innovation.
